The Major Port Authorities Bill, 2020 seeks to replace the Major Port Trusts Act, 1963. The number of sections has been reduced to 76 from 134 by eliminating overlapping and obsolete sections.
The provision has been made for inclusion of representatives of state Government in which the port is situated, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Defence and Customs, Department of Revenue as members in the board apart from Government nominee and a member representing the employees of the Major Port Authority.

The Boards of Port Authority have been delegated the full powers to enter into contracts, planning and development, fixing of tariff except in national interest, security and emergency arising out of inaction.

Provision of CSR and development of infrastructure by Port Authority have been introduced

The European Space Agency (ESA) has planned to put the world’s first wooden satellite, WISA Woodsat, on Earth’s orbit by the end of this year.
The mission of the satellite is to test the applicability of wooden materials like plywood in spacecraft structures and expose it to extreme space conditions, such as heat, cold, vacuum and radiation, for an extended period of time.
It will be launched to space by the end of 2021 with a Rocket Lab Electron rocket from the Mahia Peninsula launch complex in New Zealand.
The satellite, designed and built in Finland will orbit at around 500-600 km altitude in a roughly polar Sun-synchronous orbit.
WISA Woodsat is a 10x10x10 cm nano satellite built up from standardised boxes and surface panels made from plywood, the same material that is found in a hardware store or to make furniture.

The Accedited Social Health Activist (ASHA) is a community health worker instituted by the Ministry of Health and family Welfare. ASHA must primarily be a woman resident of the village married/ widowed/ divorced, preferably in the age group of 25 to 45 years. ASHA has been chosen through the rigorous process of selection involving various community groups, self help groups, Anganwadi institutions, the Block Nodal officer, District Nodal officer, the village Health Committee and the Gram Sabha.

The role of an ASHA is that of a community level care provider. This includes: facilitating access to health care services, building awareness about health care entitlements especially amongst the poor and marginalised, promoting healthy behaviours and mobilizing for collective action for better health outcomes and meeting curative care needs as appropriate to the organization of service delivery in that area and compatible with her training and skills.
